I really had a great experience at the shop in Oakland. I really felt like the team went above and beyond the Call of Duty to get the right parts for my car and get the job done right.
Had a transmission that was delaying shifting and then shifting with a big clunk. People told me that it was probably coming apart and it could cost me up to $3000. Took it to these great people and they fixed it by reprograming the controls and checking everything out. Cost a little over $300. Very happy. Good people.
The place is a bit rough around the edges, but the crew does great work, they take customer schedules seriously, and from my transmission replacements – I think they offer really fair prices. good stuff
Man this place was a life saver. I’m only a few weeks into my rebuilt transmission for my accord v6 coupe and it’s better than it was before the actual transmission went out on me . I came in because my torque converter wasn’t locking up and come to find out it was the transmission itself. I spoke with Kareem about the issue and he helped come up with solutions to solve the problem. Ended up with a full overhaul(rebuild) of the transmission for half the cost the dealer would have quoted me. And to make it even better, they had the car back to me in 4 days) Will definitely come back if I had to bring any of my cars here!!
My transmission failed when I was over 3000 miles from home. Kareem was kind, professional and reassuring and the van was fixed in a few days at a reasonable cost and with a warranty. This was honestly the best customer service I have ever encountered at a repair shop. I highly recommend.
I’ve gone to AAMCO Transmissions on Brooke Street for 3 years and the service has always been perfect. Great communication throughout the day. Kareem always makes a point of what needs to be fixed now vs months from now. Great for budget and safety. Would 100% recommend this car shop for anyone in Oakland or Emeryville.
I had my front brakes and rotors replaced here at this shop. super fast work and excellent communication. Kareem genuinely cares about doing the best work possible for his customers, I had my transmission, TCM done here as well, love this place!
